Acorn production: A mature oak tree can produce up to 10,000 acorns in a year, though only about one in 10,000 will grow into a new tree.
Lightning attraction: Oaks in the wild are more likely to be struck by lightning than many other tree species due to their height, deep roots, and water-filled cells

Our English Bonsai Oak trees are exquisite miniatures of these majestic native giants. They develop powerful trunks and main branches, making them stunning bonsai specimens. Most of our Oak bonsai have leaves sized down to about 5 cm (2″), with some older ones featuring leaves as small as 2.5 cm (1″). They are easy to care for and extremely hardy, perfect for bonsai enthusiasts of all levels.

This species display distinctive, iconic lobed leaves and charming autumnal acorns. In its miniature form, the English Oak mirrors the grandeur of mature woodland trees. You can see this within its powerful, sturdy trunk that develops character and texture over time. This deciduous bonsai requires a dormant rest period during mid-winter and showcases changing foliage colours, from limes and deep greens to red tones.
